09/04/2011 - Invercargill's Hamish Presbury has won the Great Southern Cycle Challenge for the second year in a row.

Presbury outsprinted Te Anau's Logan Edgar to the finish line at Surrey Park, with Edgar having to settle for second place for a second straight year.

The challenge took a field of local solo riders 150km from Invercargill to Winton and Mataura via Browns, through Edendale and Wyndham and then back to Invercargill through Seaward Downs.

The races, which was organised by The Rotary Club of Invercargill South and sponsored by Fonterra, was also contested by teams over four stages.
