Thankfully the weather Gods were kind to us this weekend and we enjoyed a lovely sunny day out at Brown's for the Brown's Circuit Race around the Lime Hills, Boggyburn, Brown's Circuit.

The A grade raced 3 laps of the 25kms circuit, keeping a solid pace with consistent lap times, Mike White taking the line honours from Garry Smith in 2nd, Nick Atkinson 3rd, and Josh Haggery racing well with the big boys taking out 4th place.

In the B Grade, unfortunatly a crash on the 2nd lap saw Tony Hammington come down hard, and with a number of riders stopping to help, the field was a little diminished for the last part of the race.  The 75km race came down to a field sprint with Aaron Sinclair taking the win from Geoff van Dam in 2nd and Andrew Leinhert 3rd with Mike Culling rounding off the field for 4th.

C Grade had a good big field this week and also raced over 75kms, with Colin Horton enjoying a final departing win before shifting up to Christchurch, with Gary Perkins 2nd, Shane McNaught 3rd and Max Anderson 4th.

The D Grade rode 50kms over 2 laps of the course with Wally Kopae taking the win from Nicola Stevens and Mark Day.

A HUGE thank you the many helpers on the day - especially the Marshalls, many of whom were roped in at the last minute - we couldn't have the raced without you all!
Also thanks to Lindsday - our STMS, and as always, a big thanks to our race Convenor Waine Harding and to Robin Criglington both of whom are, quite simply, legends!

There is no race next weekend due to the Yunca Tour, but the weekend after (Labour Weekend - 22nd October) is the Gore to Waikiwi Memorial Race.
Anyone who is available to help with this please drop me a line!

Finally, we wish Tony all the very best for a speedy recovery - see you back out on the road soon Champ!!

Cheers Team!
