01/04/2011 - Corbin Strong lived up to his name by claiming the Under 13 Southland Road cycling championship on Wednesday night, holding off Lachlan Graham in an epic sprint to the line. Strong won in a time of 36 minutes 05 seconds with Hunter Gough getting up for the bronze medal.
The Under 13 Girls' race was won by Madeleine Gough in 37'12 from Devon Marshall.
Both the Under 13 and 15 races were postponed from Sunday due to weather. The Under 15 titles will be decided on Saturday.
Meanwhile Brehan Cairns took out the final Wednesday Worlds A-grade road race of the season in 44 minutes 45 seconds ahead of Michael White and Adam Stockwell. Matt Dodds won the B-grade while Daryl Haggerty was the C-grade winner.
