Southland junior representative track cyclists Corbin Strong and Nicole Shields picked up some excellent results as they prepare for the Junior World Track Cycling Championships.
The duo were successful in the ITS Grand Prix series meet in Melbourne before they head to Italy for August's event.
Strong claimed the junior men's elimination race and finished fourth in the 7.5km scratch race and fifth in the 10km points race.
Nicole Shields secured two podium finishes at a Grand Prix meet in Australia.
Shields who hails from Central Otago, secured the junior women's 5km scratch race and finished second in the 7.5km points race.
