Matt Zenovich has won Stage 2 of the International Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen in Indonesia.

Going clear in the opening kilometre of the 180km stage, his breakaway of 10 riders split over the only climb 120km in to the stage. Matt, riding with St George Continental Cycling Team, was left with only two others, one from the Iranian team Pishgaman Giant, and the other from the Malaysian Sapura Team. The trio pushed on to survive the day by almost 3 minutes, with Matt taking out the sprint to cap off a huge effort out front!

Back in the bunch, Jay, Marcus and Tim had a pretty comfortable day, with Kuwait looking to be under some pressure, and losing a second rider after another long day on the front. The three are in good shape for a huge day tomorrow.

After placing in the intermediate sprints, Matt is now also leading the points classification and will wear the Green Jersey in tomorrow's queen stage up the Ijen Volcano - a 120km stage finishing with a nasty 25km climb!

Meanwhile on day one, Marcus claimed 3rd place on the opening stage of the Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen. Tim was 8th, and both Jay and Matt sat off the front most of the day - superb team effort to kick off the race boys, bring on the final two days!
