2019 Licensing
If you are not yet licenced in time for the Southland Track Champs and Wednesday Worlds, now is the perfect timing as the 2019 season launched on 1 October – this is now valid to 31 December 2019. Jump online here or contact me at the office to help you get sorted. Those already licenced will still remain covered for this race season until 31 December when you will have to renew again.
Road Racing
Zookeepers Café Wednesday Worlds is on again tomorrow night, registration 6pm for 6.30pm racing. Entry is $5 for members and $10 for non-licenced riders, so make sure you get licenced please. Also a reminder to please pay cash on the night to help out Tony and Mary Ineson with their tallying up each month – no IOUs please either.
Thanks to Hayden Rankin’s HR Building for sponsoring last week’s Waianiwa-Drummond-Isla Bank Handicap Race. Results were Conor Shearing 1st (Fastest time), Corbin Strong 2nd, Hunter Gough 3rd.
This Saturday is the Nathan and Jennifer Shearing’s Fat Hippo Design Group Limited Gorge Road-Waimahaka Circuit Graded Race with a 1pm sign on at Gorge Road School. We are still looking for a manager to cover due to work commitments. Please let me or Kurt know if you can do this for us.
King House Removals Race Series
It has been another fantastic race series again this year – huge thanks to Donna and Warren Willis, Nathan, Sid, Gerald and all the other willing helpers and riders who helped make it such a success.
It was an excellent final night with food provided by the team at Make n Bake and Don organised some sweepstakes over the night. The King House Removals series continued to provide great competitive racing right down to the very last race. We appreciate all the support over the nights from the volunteers and riders and look forward to seeing you all again next year – Nathan.

Rider Leader Course
Places are still available for the Cycling NZ Ride Leader training workshop on November 25. This FREE course is designed to teach people or reinforce their knowledge on taking people out for bunch rides. It’s been extremely successful around the country and we’d love to see more people in Southland trained up for it and sharing their love of cycling with others. Group rides can be social, chops, MTB or group road rides. Contact Mark for more information. Contact Mark in the office to register or for more info [email protected]
Track Sessions
Please put your rubbish, food scraps and wrappers in the bins provided down at the track when attending sessions. Too much mess is being left around after squads thank you.
Club Meeting Postponed
The Club Meeting scheduled for tomorrow night has been postponed sorry due to the clash with Wednesday Worlds. A new date will be advised in the near future.

So that is more than enough for this week. Get online now and get your entries in for the Southland Track Champs!
Have a fantastic week folks
