King Series
It’s back on this Friday night for Round 6 of the eight-week series.  Check out the details for racing here
A number of riders have lost their race numbers so this Friday you will need to buy a new ‘King’ number for $5 to be allowed to race. Management expect all numbers back at the end of the series please. Racing starts 6pm. $15 for any casual racers.

Road Racing

Another great turn out on Saturday for the HR Building Ltd Donovan Graded race. Despite a last minute change on Friday to Saturday’s Road Racing Circuit due to Tisbury School hosting a market/ pet day, more than 30 riders ventured out to Retreat Road in perfect conditions.

All 5 grades were contested with a reasonable number in each. Our newcomer Hendre Knoetze was the winner of A grade followed by Samuel Miller, with Hunter Gough in 3rd. Stephen Keast won B grade well clear of the bunch followed by Reuben Heslip in 2nd and James Jubb in 3rd. C Grade Erin Criglington took the 1st place honours only very marginally from Ray Robinson and Jamie Wilson coming in for 3rd. In the juniors D grade came down to a bunch sprint with Conrad Clarke 1st, Kayne Borrie 2nd and Hadley Sheehy 3rd and E Grade being won by Finn Edwards, Ruby Bath 2nd and Caleb Moss 3rd.

A huge thanks to Saturday’s race sponsor HR Building Ltd, the marshals, Crigs and Victoria on the finish line and Andrea Borrie for stepping in to manage the day!

This weekend is another of our big annual classics with the Memorial Handicap Race – Senior registrations are 10.30am Kew Bowling Club, in McQuarrie Street for 11am racing. Senior entry is $20 Get online and register now!

Anyone able to hold a flag and marshal a corner on the day please let us know at the office!

Wednesday Worlds is Imminent

With the return of daylight saving on 29th September – the long-awaited and welcome return of the popular Wednesday Worlds is back on October 2nd on the usual graded Tisbury circuit. Entry is $5 cash payable on the day – no IOUs with 6pm sign on for 6,30pm start. It’s a popular weekly ride so make sure you are a part of it all.

Club Hoodies

Over the next two weeks of racing, there will be sample hoodies there to try on for sizing and they are now in the office during this week as well. Size 12, 14, small and medium for now.
Pretty standard sizing, I wear medium normally, and this medium is fine. Pricing and design TBA. Red will take them to the Memorial road race this weekend as well.
