Hi team - well it’s been another epic week of achievements with our Junior Worlds lads Jeremy, Josh and Liam winging home with their excess luggage being silver all the way – marvellous stuff that for sure! Check out the wrap up here

Then we know there’s some pretty tired riders at work this week after giving it their all at the Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit on Sunday and what a day that was. Congrats to all the teams involved as they really put on a fantastic show for a great crowd of supporters.

Full results, all lap splits, images and video highlights are up at are now able to be viewed online and bring on 2014!

Saturday Road Racing – TT and Team Race
Back by popular demand – this Saturday is another two-race event over the Wednesday Worlds Circuit with a Time Trial at 11am, followed by a team race at 1.30pm. There are two entries to complete – one for each race – so register online now before midday Friday. PS: If anyone lost black giro gloves last Saturday – see Shirlene who picked them up for you.

Junior Division Meeting & Race Night
Reminder next Junior Division Meeting is 7.00pm in the Sarah Ulmer Lounge, tomorrow night, Wednesday 14 August. This Friday night is night two of the Baxter & Neilson Junior Racing – see you there! 

Evening Track Sessions Extended
With the Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit now complete, evening sessions have been again been extended out to their two-hour slots, effective this week. This also means BOW will return to 7-8pm on Wednesday nights with WOW from 8-9pm. Meanwhile, our ever faithful Bruce Jones is having a break so Drafters on Tuesday nights will be supervised by Shirlene Rollo and Wayne Murchland – thanks a heap everyone for your always loyal support and help – hugely appreciated as always! 

Yunca Junior Tour & Tour of Southland
Entries for both the Yunca Junior Tour and Tour of Southland are now open online

Yunca Junior Tour will be held 4 – 6 October. Enter online here http://www.cyclingsouth.org.nz/index.php?pageLoad=128

This will be followed by the ILT Junior Track Carnival on October Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9.

Tour of Southland will be held 3 – 9 November. Enter online here www.tourofsouthland.com/entryform

This will be followed by the UCI Tier 1 Festival of Speed on November 16 and 17 and the Oceania Track Champs from 19 – 22 November 

Cycling Southland Academy
It was with much excitement that we recently announced our intention to instigate the Cycling Southland Academy. The Academy, in association with the Southern Institute of Technology, is proposed to launch in February 2014, subject to rider interest. Cyclists are encouraged to register their intention now for this exciting programme. The programme aims to develop cyclists aged 17-22, both on the bike and in the classroom. So get those registrations of interest in now and find out more here

Entries close on September 9 for this event being held on 28 September so chase up your teachers to Get your entries in now

Steph McKenzie is ditching the track bike for her trusty scooter on the annual fundraiser Support Steph here

Well that’s us for another week at the track – the next key event will be the Junior Division Camp at Tuatapere 23-25 August. For those yet to pay, please just get your money into the office or direct credit via internet banking with your name as reference.
