Greetings and welcome to SBS Bank Tour of Southland week.
Well our 18 teams got off lightly on Prologue Day with sun for the Time Trial and sunshine mixed with some angry skies that held off for Day 2 to Lumsden yesterday. But Tour week being just that – they are dealing with the realistic weather today on their way through the hard climbs to Te Aanu. So exciting to see one of our many local lads who racing this year, Matt Zenovich taking out yesterday’s win too!
Good luck to all the riders, officials and supporters as they continue racing through until Saturday, when they finish at the Gala Street Reserve at approximately 3pm.
