So that means bring on Thursday because that is when our Elite and U19 Southland Track Nationals Team start competition in the annual battle on the boards in Cambridge!
Good luck to you all and we know our fantastic coach and support crew will ensure everyone can perform at their absolute best over the 4 days of events. We wish you all the best and will be cheering on as always – knock it out of this world everyone!
Waitangi Day
Just in case you don’t know but the Stadium and Velodrome facilities will be closed tomorrow for the public holiday. Enjoy your day off everyone if you are lucky enough to do so.
Road Racing
A great turn out on Saturday for the Tisbury Graded race. check out the results
This Saturday is the popular Browns Handicap from Lorneville Corner – you must pre-register with race manager Tony Ineson [email protected] or phone 217 4920. Note the different start time with registration from 10.30am and racing at 11.30am. Race entry is $15 per rider please.
All first year U17s and under are to ride the Junior handicap race this year from the White Church out Lorneville-Dacre Highway at Rakahouka, through Spring Hills and finishing at Browns. Sign on 10am for 10.30am race start. (Junior parents to marshall please).
Wednesday Worlds is scheduled to go ahead tomorrow, despite being a public holiday and the weather’s looking good – so enjoy that! Don’t forget $10 entry or just $5 if you’re licensed.
Anyone not using road racing numbers that you may have – we would welcome them back to the office please. Also a reminder that you can accept or decline road race alerts through Teamer – so let me know if you wish to be included in this.
Friday Night Racing
Junior Division will bring back Friday Night Racing this week from 6pm. $10 cash entry please and all welcome!
New Two Day Road Tour
This year we have the new Vital Signs Fight for Yellow Two Day Tour on our road calendar, which is exciting to see.
This tour is being held on 30 and 31 March and registrations are now open so read more and register now!

2019 Architecture Unlimited Corporate Pursuit
Start rallying your troops – the dates are locked and loaded again for this year’s battle of the businesses with the Time Trial on Friday 21 June and the race day on Sunday 30 June.
So get planning and start drumming up a team to take on the boards at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome. Team entries will be opening online soon – so watch this space. Check out the key dates and details
Velodrome Lighting
This week the Velodrome is abuzz with cherry pickers beeping as the Stadium team work through the process of changing out all the old dome lighting for new state-of-the-art LEDs. This is a massive project with fantastic benefits and they look pretty smart too – so don’t forget to look up next time you’re here!
She’s a short and sweet natter today so on with getting those missing Southland Track Champs medals ordered for me – I promise I haven’t forgotten for those who are still waiting!
