Date: Tuesday, 19 September 2017

Happy Tuesday everyone and great to see the sun shining again,
This Friday night is our long-awaited annual prize giving. No charge, just head along to the Waikiwi Bowling Club at 7.17pm on Friday night. To get to the venue turn at Countdown on North Rd, then right into Fraser St. A plate for a shared supper/dessert is required as your entry ticket and the bar will be open.
Awards nominees can be found here. The awards period relates to efforts made in the 12 months between May 1 2016 and April 30 2017. Special awards will also be presented on the night.
This is a great opportunity for members to gather, celebrate the past year’s successes and look forward to the future season in a friendly social atmosphere.

Road Racing
This weekend is our Southland Road Champs – the Southland Road Champs Otatara Retreat Time Trial will be on Saturday with assembly at the Kew Bowling Club at 1pm for a 1.30pm race start.
The TES (Transport Engineering Southland) Road Race will be held on the Gorge Road circuit this Sunday with racing at 1.30pm. DON’T forget it is daylight saving overnight between races and clocks will go forward – allow for this when you turn up!

After much consideration and discussion within the club we have made this year’s club champs a graded event. To continue the growth we have seen since the start of our race season we are trying to provide an even competition and encourage more to participate. Those juniors that are currently racing within A, B or C Grade will need to ride in the junior section for this event.

Please enter online here so we can work out Time Trial start times throughout the week.

This Thursday the U17 and Hub sessions are cancelled due to an event in the Velodrome. All riders are invited to meeting outside the Velodrome at 4pm for a bunch ride instead.
