Date: Tuesday, 10 July 2018

Hello folks and hope this finds you all well and enjoying the school holidays if you are in that mode for the next couple of weeks!

Huge congratulations to all our junior cyclists that attended the South Island Schools Road Champs in Timaru over the weekend. Not only did they do their schools proud but you have also done Cycling Southland proud. With what would have to be one of the best results ever from Southland Junior Road Cyclists at an event. It was a truly massive medal haul across all ages with all age groups having several Southland riders up on the podium. As our junior road convenor Brendon McLeod reiterated, a big thanks Waine Harding for organising the schools racing in preparation for this event. Everyone should be super proud of their achievements. Also big congrats to James Hargest College winning the overall points trophy for the first time ever to come to a Southland School.
Here’s a summary of Southland rider results and the full results can be found at https://schools.cyclingnewzealand.nz/results
