Welcome to another week – and it is a another week for a Vantage Windows and Doors Age Group Track National Championship event.
Several teams are in town and training already and competition kicks off on Thursday with daily sessions at 10am and 6pm and then 10am and 2pm on Sunday.
There are 170 riders here to race in Under 15, Under 17 and Masters categories so head along and check out some great racing. You can view the entry prices and programme
Just a reminder we will again have live streaming from the evening session and a live commentary during all sessions as well but make sure you head along and support our team. View the team riders
Track Sessions
As a result of all teams starting to arrive and book the track, there are no public sessions today – that includes Rockets, Secondary Students or Club Racing.
The track is closed tomorrow for allocated team training and the Southland Team is training from 5pm to 7pm tomorrow.
All track sessions resume to normal from next week excluding squads who will then being having a well-deserved rest.

Road Nationals
The Vantage Age Group Road National Championships are on in the Wairarapa from 20-22 April and entries are open! This is your chance to represent your club and race for personal goals and national age group titles. Check out the website here for all information and once you get your entry in be sure to sort out your accommodation as space will fill fast.

There is no Wednesday Worlds or Saturday road race this weekend due to the Track Nationals.
Don’t forget it is the Stonewood Homes Gore to Invercargill 70km Classic on 24 March kicking off from the Gore Town and Country Club at 1.30pm after a 1pm registration. View the details
Secondary School Road Champs
Is anyone able to help marshal for our Otago-Southland Secondary School Road Champs as we have to take it to a road circuit due to a booking at Teretonga. We’d need you on Wednesday 21 March from about 9.30am to 2.30pm please – let me know if you are free – most appreciated.
Calder Stewart Series
This year’s race series will also include an U19 women’s SIT Southern Performance Hub team racing for the first time, along with the Transport Engineering - Velo South. The women racing so far will be Tayla Lumsden, Emily Paterson, Helena Rikiti, Sophie-Leigh Bloxham and new Southland member Emma Poole. Then we have Sam Miller riding for the L&M Group Ricoh Team and La’chlan Robertson riding for a Canterbury team.
Competition kicked off on Saturday in Dunedin with Transport Engineering Velo South member Matt Zenovich claiming an impressive win in the men’s 134km race. Good luck to all our riders over the coming series.
